Nikon Shutter Replacement

Our D300 finally claimed some much needed TLC after 196,593 shutter actuations. I took her into Kew's Camera Service - 211 W 500 N, Provo Utah. The best part is that after Kew's took her apart they realized that it WASN'T the shutter that broke it was actually the base plate unit. But of course, while she was opened Kew's suggested the shutter replacement. The total time that she was out of commision was around seven days. So how much did this overhaul run? Right around 320 smackers, which is totally worth the money when you consider replacing the camera body for about $1,600. Oh and on top of that, Kew's replaced the rubber grip on the outside of the camera body...she looks and runs like a brand-new machine. GO NIKON! And THANK YOU Kew's Camera Service of Provo.
